As well as supplying a building, installation and re-glazing service from their Lerwick manufacturing plant, The Window Centre also supplies private and commercial customers with their products for self installation.uPVC is ideally suited for the weather and atmospheric conditions prevalent in the Northern Isles. It is a highly efficient material maximising heat retention and resulting in substantial fuel savings.

The grade of uPVC used has been extensively tested from Ð30C to +60C and has complied with the most stringent Scandinavian standards. It is virtually maintenance free as it is highly corrosion resistant. It is unaffected by atmospheric pollutants and coastal weather. No detrimental colour changes have been experienced during extensive weather testing, from Arctic conditions in Scandinavia to the deserts of Arizona. Products made from uPVC will not warp, corrode or crack. The material does not support combustion and its flame resistance does not alter during the life of the product giving it the quality of minimising the effects of fire spread.

The Window Centre in Lerwick manufactures uPVC Windows, Doors, Conservatories and Curtain Walling to the highest standards.
In addition to manufacturing they provide an installation and re-glazing service to customers, who include the public, private businesses, public bodies, housing associations and local authorities.
