Pipe collars required to sink the HPPE pipe to sea bottom and to hold in place until covered. Completed works consisted of the fabrication of steel shutters to accommodate the concrete and steel reinforcement, a total of 456 nr pipe collars were pre cast and installed onto the HPPE pipes, rubber padding was installed onto the inside of precast concrete collars to prevent slippage from the pipe once the floating pipe is sunk.
